About HyFi

HyFi is a new type of renewable energy development company which combines the practical mobilization of projects, developing and helping to finance their construction, and in some cases owning and arranging operations. We prefer to work with Sovereign bodies and leading companies particularly in Developing Economies where a competency in architecting a bankable project from inception is essential and mastery over the actual project deliverables equally as important.

HyFi has 3 main funding solutions

Equity Financing

To fully finance a project often skin-in-the-game is required by participating debt financiers, so selling some equity in your project might be required - which beneficially also reduces some of the debt-service pressure of making regular principal & interest payments. HyFi works with some of the most active investment funds in the world to help satisfy this front end of the deal requirement which is often needed. Industry partners are also a good source of equity financing and is often perceived as project endorsement capital. Turn around times typically 60-120 days.

Construction Loan & Mezzanine Financing

The most common source of financing to ensure you project gets built. Debt based capital is supplied at competitive interest rates, capital sources are banks which have partnered with HyFi to support its “deal flow”, investment funds are another source we work with. Here you can be offered a deferral of any principal or interest repayment, this will give your project a chance to get into revenue before facing any repayment obligation. Deal sizes in the tens or hundreds of millions of dollars. Turn around times are typically 60-90 days.

Green Bond Arrangement

Green Bonds are an effective way to refinance construction debt accumulated while a project is being build. Capital supplied by the private and public bond markets, i.e. US Bond Market at $46T. Deal sizes typically $100m into the billions. Turn around times typically 3-5 months. Here long-term debt is established at more favorable interest rates.
